Continuation of Classroom Responsibilities

1. No food, drinks, candy, or hats are allowed in the classroom.

2. If you are late to class without a pass, you will be assigned detention. 1^st tardiness =15 minutes; 2^nd tardiness = 30 minutes, 3^rd tardiness = 45 minutes; 4^th and beyond = office detention.

3. Books must be covered at all times. If it is not, detention will be given. If there is a problem with the book, let me know at the beginning of the year.

4. Appropriate behavior is expected at all times. Profanity, graffiti, disturbance of class, distraction of others, disturbance of other people’s belongings or the teacher’s desk will result in 30-45 minute detention.

5. If a student is found to have cut a class, then he or she will not be able to make up the work and will therefore receive a zero.

6. Remain seated until the bell rings!!

Academic Responsibilities

1. Homework is assigned daily to reinforce the topic being discussed. Late homework will not be accepted. It is due at the beginning of each class.

2. All assignments should be kept in the homework section of your notebook and should be labeled correctly (Ex. “Activity 4 p. 77” or “Present Tense Sentences”).

3. Homework counts as a test grade!!! If all your homework is complete for the quarter, then you will receive a 100. There is no partial credit for homework.

4. If you are absent for a day, then you need to complete the assignment for the day after it is given to you. If absent for a few days, then arrangements will be made.

5. A zero will be given on test or quizzes for cheating, talking, or cutting a class.

6. If you are absent on the day of an exam or quiz, you have five days to make it up. Extended absences require other arrangements.

7. Make-up quizzes and test are to be completed after school from 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. every day. If work is not made up during this time, then a zero will be given.

8. If you are absent, it is your responsibility to get work that you missed.

9. If you need extra help please let me know and you can see me after school.

10. Do not work on assignments for other classes during Spanish class. Any such work will be confiscated.

*Remember, in order to learn a new language, you need to actively and attentively participate in class.
